शैक्षणिक पात्रता – उमेदवार दहावी उत्तीर्णसह प्रादेशिक परिवहन कार्यालय (आर.टी.ओ.) यांचेकडील अवजड वाहन चालविण्याचा वैध परवाना व पी.एस.व्ही.बॅज (बिल्ला) असणे आवश्यक असून वाचकाचा वैध परवाना व बॅज (बिल्ला) नियुक्तीपूर्वी सादर करणे आवश्यक राहील. तसेच सर्व प्रकारची अवजड वाहने विशेषतः डिझेलवरील (ट्रक, प्रवासी बस) चालविण्याचा किमान ३ वर्ष विना अपघात अनुभव असणे आवश्यक आहे.

शारीरिक पात्रता – उमेदवाराची उंची किमान 160 सेंमी व कमाल 180 सेंमी असणे आवश्यक असून दृष्टी चष्म्याविना 6 x 6 (चष्मा न लावता पाहता येणे) आवश्यक आहे. तसेच रंगआंधळेपणा/ रातआंधळेपणा हा दोष असलेले उमेदवार अपात्र असतील.

वयोमर्यादा –  उमेदवाराचे वय १४ जानेवारी २०१९ रोजी २४ ते ३८ वर्ष दरम्यान असावे. (मागासवर्गीय उमेदवारांना ५ वर्ष सवलत.)

आरक्षण – शासन परिपत्रकानुसार महिलांना ३० टक्के, माजी सैनिकांना १५ टक्के, भूकंपग्रस्त २ टक्के, प्रकल्पग्रस्त ५ टक्के, खेळाडू ५ टक्के, अंशकालीन कर्मचारी १० टक्के आणि अनाथ मुलांकरिता १ टक्का आरक्षण देय राहील. तसेच केंद्र सरकारने आर्थिक दुर्बलांना दिलेल्या १० टक्के आरक्षणा संदर्भात राज्य शासन जे आदेश निर्गमित करील ते प्रस्तुत प्रकरणी लागू राहील.
